My Journey

My name is Peter Knight, a freelance photographer whose passion for photography has been shaped by a lifetime of living and working in different countries. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on the world and influenced the way I create images today. My work combines minimalist fine art photography with occasional bursts of bold colour, creating photographs that are both striking and thought-provoking.
I consider myself European. My father is English, my mother is Finnish, and while I was born in England, I was partly raised in Finland. Growing up between two cultures helped me see the world from different perspectives. From an early age, I was drawn to creativity and visual expression, developing an artistic eye that continues to guide my photography.
I am also dyslexic, something that has become one of my greatest strengths. It has taught me not to see challenges as barriers, but as opportunities to find new solutions. This mindset allows me to approach photography differently, looking beyond the obvious and exploring multiple perspectives before capturing the final image. Often, the photograph that stands out is the one discovered by seeing a scene in a way others may overlook.
My photography is not about telling you what to think or how to feel. Instead, it is about creating images that spark your imagination and invite you to bring your own experiences and emotions into the frame. Every photograph becomes a personal journey, allowing each viewer to discover their own meaning and connection.
Whether capturing dramatic landscapes, subtle details, or moments of quiet beauty, my goal is simple: to create photographs that inspire curiosity, evoke emotion, and encourage you to see the extraordinary within the everyday.
“An inspiration of time captured through the lens”
Inspiration
My greatest inspiration has always been my mother. She taught me the importance of treating everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect, regardless of who they are or where they come from. One lesson that has stayed with me throughout my life is simple: if you give respect, you are far more likely to receive it in return.
She also instilled in me a strong work ethic and the belief that hard work, dedication, and perseverance always pay off. These values have shaped not only the person I am today but also the photographer I have become.
Whether I am planning a shoot, waiting for the perfect light, or searching for a unique perspective, I bring the same commitment, patience, and respect to my photography. Every image I create reflects the principles I learned growing up: to appreciate the world around us, to value people and experiences, and to never stop striving to produce work that is meaningful, authentic, and inspiring.
My favorite quote about photography
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
~ Elliott Erwitt
For the perfect photograph
It's not what you see, But what you see in what you see
~ Peter Knight
I’ve spent over a decade capturing moments that tell stories, from city streets to natural landscapes.
Fine art landscape photography has a unique ability to bring people together. A carefully chosen photograph does more than decorate a wall, it creates a shared experience, sparks conversation, and evokes memories, emotions, and dreams. Whether displayed in a family home, office, or living space, landscape photography can inspire stories of past adventures, future journeys, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the world around us.
The natural scenes captured in fine art photography offer moments of calm and reflection, encouraging families and friends to slow down and connect. A dramatic mountain range, a tranquil lake, or a vibrant sunset can become a focal point that draws people together, creating meaningful conversations and lasting memories.
At No RePete Photos, each image is created to inspire, evoke emotion, and reveal the extraordinary within the everyday. These photographs are more than visual art; they are windows into places, moments, and experiences that can be shared with those who matter most. Through the power of landscape photography, homes become warmer, stories come alive, and connections grow stronger.
